San fran-ZTE blade going to power options

My san francisco swedish springs RL55 version 2,2.

kernal version2.6.32.9-perf.

My ohone has to be 100% chharged to take a photo or do anything remotly demanding otherwise it goes to phone options and want to select airplane mode.

It is very frustrating as it even happens when the battery is half ful. I use it for work and need some reliable basic applications. Is ther a Lite operating system for android that will give me more reliability or can someone suggest another ROM.

Im using fish and chips at the moment which runs well and i havent had any problems with it.

Also moldovian has good reviews as does the new swedish one. I guess you could try and and see if it eliminates your problems. always worth a shot
