Guest PaulOBrien Posted February 2, 2012 Report Posted February 2, 2012 Well, it's been a long time coming (it's been out on iOS for a while, as per Sky's usual releases), but Sky have announced that their Android 'Sky Go' release is set to happen in February ('next month', the article was published in the last few days of January!) Sky Go is the TV service that is available at no extra cost to Sky customers across PC, laptops, iPhone and iPad, with access too all five Sky Sports channels, ESPN, Sky News and 11 Sky Movies channels in line with your subscription. Sky is also adding support for Sky Atlantic effective immediately and Sky 1, Sky Living and Sky Arts 1 in the next month. The Android release will initially be limited to the most popular Samsung and HTC handsets (it's unsure whether this is a marketing or technical limitation). As a Sky customer myself, this has to be good news... particularly since it doesn't add any cost to the subscription and my experiences testing Sky Go on iPad have been largely positive! :) More details can be found at Sky Help and Support. And it works only if they run the stock rom. Any chance to make it working on the tabs with custom roms?If you want I give send you the app..
