Music plays through only one speaker

I'm using cyanogen mod 7 when playing music through phone speakers, it only plays through speaker on bottom rite of the phone, why doesn't music play through speaker on the top of the phone e.g where you hear during a call

Thats normal, it always only plays through that speaker

You would not hear the top speaker anyway as its very low. Its not built to amplify outwards, its built as your ear is going to be next to it.
