Losing battery life really quickly

Ok, so I lost my original battery some time ago, and so replaced it with one I purchased off ebay. A 1300mAh one. Now When I am fully charging, I'll leave it on the side, untouch for about 20mins and its at 60%? What is going on? Have I a fake battery? Would it be worth getting a 1250mAh one and seeing if this solves it, or could there be something wrong with the phone? My original battery would last the best part of the day with fairly frequent use...This one however last s about half that. I am on moldavan mile high rom, any advice?

There is a possibility that you've got a fake battery, it will turn out within a few days. You can try the following process:

1. Charge your battery fully

2. Reboot to ClockWorkMod recovery

3. Navigate through the menu, find the option "Clear battery stats" (if I remember correctly it's in the advanced menu somewhere)

4. Reboot and use your phone

5. Give Android 2-3 days (or recharging cylcle) to learn about the new battery

If the above didn't helped you definietly got a fake battery.

Well I have the same problem, except that my battery is genuine. If I charge my phone to 100% and go to bed, in the morning the battery is at 14%, sometimes the phone is off :s

The only way to keep the battery almost full is deactivating all internet/3g/wifi.

During the day I checked, I lose 1% of battery every minute more or less. I need to turn off internet and that's annoying...

I do have widgets on the desktop, could that be the problem? Though even when internet is turned off the widgets are still there and the battery isn't being drained..

You have to change the wifi policy to turn off when screen off.

Because if you let all things on and you have application running on the background, they will consume all the battery quickly...

And try to change in each application the refresh time

@Watashi_PT

I'm not on wifi right now. I'm away from home so I'm using only the 3G. Should I do what you said about the screen off?

What is the refresh time for apps? I mean how do I check this?

You could install Battery Monitor and/or BetterBatteryStats to check what's draining your battery and if there's some app that keeps your phone awake (wakelocks).

If you add SystemPanel you have all you need to check what your Blade is doing.

With those apps I found I had a stupid weather widget that was keeping my phone from sleeping.

I used to have Battery Calibrator but didn't notice any changes.

I'll install those apps in see what happens. Thanks ;-)

Back to YOUR thread... :)

You could try this http://www.dealextreme.com/p/genuine-zte-3-7v-1250mah-lithium-battery-pack-for-zte-v880-u880-n880-106228

I bought two full housing replacements there, it took almost 2 months (they were out of stock) but everything went fine.

Or http://www.ebay.it/itm/NEW-GENUINE-ZTE-BATTERY-Li3712T42P3H444865-BLADE-SAN-FRANCISCO-ZTE-F950-N72-V880-/200697605659?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2eba826e1b this looks like it's an original 1250mAh

Ermm as far as I know threads don't belong to anyone and before opening a new one they recommend you to search if there isn't one already. Or maybe should I open a 1000th thread about battery life issues -_-

Anyway if this is YOUR thread and I must go then be that way... but the one who has to calm down id you

All the "1300mAH" ones are Jekylls. I bought one off eBay and the even the contacts are wonky, not flat.

Bought a genuine one off eBay and it turned out to be used.

AnTuTu Tester is free from the market and does a very thorough (nearly all night) test of batteries.

It gave my two 18 month old OEM batteries the best scores followed by the used genuine one, with the 2 month old "1300 mAH" snide coming in a magnificent last.

There are one or two reputable companies making replacement batteries for the blade now. When I get back to the UK I'll try them out.

Argh...Don't be such an Internet guy. I'm not even rising to it. I created a thread for my issue, it's not hard for you to do the same. Everyone can't just hijack similar threads to save bandwidth, it doesn't really work that way. Please don't start with the technicalities, because you just sound like a know it all little brat, regardless of your actual age.

So anyways, pointlessness aside...Are those deal extreme ones legit? Is there anyway of initially telling whether a 1250mAh ebay one is genuine or not?

I'm pretty sure those on dealextreme are legit.

Those full housing replacements I bought were definitely genuine, original ZTE, that makes me think all those spare parts are original.

I think there's no way to tell if those on ebay are genuine, not even if they're really brand new. It's all about trusting the vendor...

I was lucky enough to find a used Blade on ebay for €60, now I have any kind of spare parts and a second Blade to try new ROMs
