Guest RayBarrow Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 My ZTE Blade does not have the best sound quality. It's getting very distorted as I increase the volume. I replaced the original Orange rom with Swedish Spring RL5 some time ago. I've had the phone for about 9 months and seems to be getting worse. Can the rom make a difference to the sound quality or do I need to reinstall the original rom and take it back to Orange? Ray.
Guest RayBarrow Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 I know it's bad form to reply to your own queries, but I put some music on the phone and that sounds OK so I don't think it's the phone. Incidentally I am GiffGaff, I'll try the Sim in a spare phone and "borrow" Mrs B's ASDA sim to try in mine. Ray.
Guest Conal Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Are you referring to the speaker at the bottom for music, or the top one for voice?
Guest RayBarrow Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Are you referring to the speaker at the bottom for music, or the top one for voice? It's the voice quality at the top. Ray.
Guest RayBarrow Posted February 15, 2012 Report Posted February 15, 2012 Are you referring to the speaker at the bottom for music, or the top one for voice? Forgot to say it's a GEN1 TFT model, if that makes any difference. Ray.
Guest Maxsas360 Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Read carefully. Turn the phone off. Put the lips over the speaker. SLIGHTLY SUCK IT. SLIGHTLY. If the speaker was crumpled this will help.
Guest NELLY11 Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Mine had the same problem so sent it back on monday direct to zte. arrived back this morning with the ear piece replaced aparantly, not had chance to check it yet. Guest RayBarrow Posted February 17, 2012 Report Posted February 17, 2012 Yew i have genuine earspeakers. How much and how do I get one from you? I've had a look at DIY replacing and it looks pretty straightforward. Thanks, Ray.
Guest RayBarrow Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) Thanks to WAWA72 now have new earspeaker in place. Sent two devices in case one didn't work, so can't complain about that as I now have a spare. A bit fiddly to fit but it went ok and the sound is so much better now, Cheers, Ray.
