how to see if my phone is rooted ?

More than likely it will have an app called superuser and probably terminal emulator. If you have both then run terminal emulator.

If you don't have it install it from here https://market.android.com/details?id=jackpal.androidterm

Once in the app type su you should get a popup asking for superuser permission. This means you have root. Tap allow.

If you don't get a popup ie it just changes the last character to a # from a $ then you also have root.

If it stays at $ then you don't have root either.

You could also just install root checker from the market https://market.android.com/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck

The last one will be easiest.

If the links don't work just go to the market and search for root checker basic. Install it and run it.

It will tell you if you are rooted or not.

Did you get it from someone on ebay?

Did they install a custom rom for you?

Is it running htc sense?

Are any of the Google apps present ie gmail, gtalk, youtube, Google maps?

It sounds like the person you bought it from wiped the phone and didn't reinstall any of the Google stuff.

You will need to work out what rom you are using. Go to menu>settings>about phone

Write down this info including android version and rom version.

This info will help with the next step.

If your phone is a replica it is not a htc phone so all of this is pretty much pointless.

If the phone doesn't have the market you will need to get the Google apps which will be difficult to install without a custom recovery. As your phone is a replica no such thing will exist.

I would personally get my money back and buy an official device.

i cant install it and i cant buy an official device its to expensive for me

isn't there a way just to install adroid on it ? or a way to install apk. file because i wont to play games on it but they are apk. and they cant install or how can i know witch formats it can read ?

It won't work because your replica htc desire does not have android on it.
