WiFi MAC address gone (MEDION)

Hi all

A friend having same MEDION P4310 from Aldi (Belgium) running stock ROM and kernel (not rooted) tells me his device shows no longer a MAC address 'in about phone - status' page. He cannot connect to WiFi anymore.

Rebooted, pulled battery, no change.

Does this ring a bell?

Is this a HW problem (I suspect so)? Is there a way to 'hard reset' a ZTE skate ?

http://www.hard-rese...hard-reset.html will erase phone but will it also touch HW?

Thanks

I tought ive read somewhere locking phones is illigal here in Belgium. If its not rooted i would take it back to the Aldi the only problem is its going to take a REALLY REALLY long time before they send it back :)

Thanks all for replies!

My friend's phone has not been tweaked at all, just stock ROM with very few applications installed.

I guess I'll suggest him to let it be replaced indeed.

Have a nice day
