Guest k.d.11 Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Ive tried 2.3 ROMS like elitmovils s5 and KonstaTs swedish snow rls 4b and they work great ! But...the kind of benchmark scores the 2.2 blades have on antutu and quadrant are way above anything i get on these roms the max i get on these roms on 691 Mhz is around 1600-1680 on antutu and 900-950 on quadrant! Are 2.2 roms supposed to give better performance because they may be supposedly lighter?
Guest Maxsas360 Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 2.3 is faster, smoother, manages RAM better and It's safer. When I am switching ROM I am not even considering 2.2
Guest Sulthekk Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 (edited) It's not like windows :) Unix-like systems usually become faster with new releases, because of optimization. I recommend using 2.3 Edited February 14, 2012 by Sulthekk

Guest Maxsas360 Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 (edited) Swedish Snow Rls4b. Antutu 1759. @710mhz and ADATA 8gb class 6 card. It's the smoothest rom I've ever used. Edited February 16, 2012 by Maxsas360
Guest JimJam707 Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 thanks for the reply guys and what kind of benchmark scores do you get and what ROMs are you using? Benchmark scores do not reflect user experience. They're all hit and miss and at the end of the day are just a number. You should use a ROM based on it's features and smoothness.
Guest Roph Posted February 16, 2012 Report Posted February 16, 2012 Stagefright issues interfere with Quadrant (maybe other benchmarks) on 2.2 blades. The media tests fail but Quadrant thinks they completed instantly, as if the phone had super fast media performance. This skews 2.2 Quadrant scores when Stagefright is enabled.
