Very slow to open photos I just took

I'm on CM7, and after taking a picture, clicking the thumbnail in 'Camera' takes about 15 seconds before the photo I just took is finally loaded.

Is this a common issue?

I'm not sure but I use quickpic instead of that awful standard gallery. May be worth trying that instead?

it's to with the time it takes to get into cache, quickpic will definitely reduce loading times :)

Try changing sdcard cache to 2000 odd. There are apps for it or a file you can change with root explorer forgot the name of it now.

Thanks for the tip. I tried it myself and it's much better than the stock gallery. I also lost a lot of my photos with using the stock gallery. And some videos too. Nothing important and had most of them backed up on my computer, but it was strange that most of the image folders were still there but only contained 1 or 2 photos, as opposed to the dozens there should have been. I tried to restore from Titanium backup but it didn't work. I hadn't flashed any ROMS and the phone has just been in normal use for months, so no idea what could have happened.

Anyone experienced this?
