Just record my side and can't record another side. I think if you're using a CM7 based ROM you would have to patch and recompile the kernel for two way call recording support as they don't include it as a policy decision. If you're using any ROM derived from ZTE releases such as Atomic, Logic etc then two way call recording works fine using either the on demand button in the in-call app or using Total Recall for fully automatic recording. In other words unless you really want CM7 just install a ZTE derived ROM and it will work fine.
Guest mhb2 Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 its built in already, just press the menu button when in a call and there should be a record option When I use this Record option, during a call, although it seems to record and save the resulting file to the root of the SD card, replaying it is incomprehensible. Anyone else getting this?
Guest alexfedo Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 I use CallRecorder. It works fine. In preferences: Record calls from - Standard Android API; Call Recording Format - 3GPP.
Guest JThumar Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Its a .amr file which you can open with music player... Guest mhb2 Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Its a .amr file which you can open with music player... Yes but unfortunately the .amr file when played back is so very faint and corrupted as to be incomprehensible. Incidentally, .amr files saved from the 'dictaphone' standard Sound Recorder app work perfectly. Makes me wonder if the fact that the call recorder function seems not to be mentioned in either the standard ZTE Skate nor Orange Monte Carlo manuals, is because it is non functioning!
