Were the drivers there?...

Hi,

Yes but i'm having a nightmare! Maybe its because i don't know how to install drivers properly.

On there instructions (http://www.todoleo.c...-carlo-zte.html) I've got upto step 6, where i run

install-recovery-windows.bat. The black screen comes up saying "waiting for device" but then a pop up says "insert cd that the drivers were on". And android man stays on screen until i disconnect and restart phone.

How would i install the google usb driver that was in the file i downloaded of yours?

I'm stressing here... Anyone??

Device manager, then right click on unknown device, install missing drivers, then browse for them yourself, and click on android_winusb.inf i think

oh and this is urgent,, delete the .qcn file in the unlock files folder you downloaded please :)

And you have your phone plugged into your computer with USB debugging on right?

And you have your phone plugged into your computer with USB debugging on right?

I'm at that point again...

So I have ran

install-recovery-windows.bat and the black screen has come up and now says "waiting for device". Then windows pop up says found new software locate and install drivers. If i click this it asks for a cd or to browse, I browse and can only choose the folder path so

\Desktop\Folder to unlock\unlock files\google_usb_driver"

I can't go any further to select the actual file? Also, if i try going through device manager its the same, I can only choose the file it is in. When I choose \Desktop\Folder to unlock\unlock files\google_usb_driver it says "windows cannot find driver software"

??? :-(

Is your phone been recognised without usb debugging on?

Don't do step 6 on todoleo just carry on...

Yes the phone is recognised if i turn usb debugging off.

When doing step 7, shall i leave the debugging on or off? Am I going to get a bigger risk of bricking my phone by not completing step 6?

Remember to keep me posted about whether anything happens, i'll feel bad if you don't get it unlocked...

No that stage flashes stock recovery which you already have, and just leave debugging on just to be safe

You backed up that qcn file yet and flashed recovery?

Guess what... I'm now on O2 :-)

Thanks for all your help, half of me now wants to go on and add some ROMS but i think i'll wait for a bit.

Would there be much speed different?

I did try to remove orange bloatware using antTek app manager but it says i need to root my phone? Is that difficult?

Thanks again though, top man.
