Hi!

Just wondering what is the easiest way to repartition my gen2 phone. It was sold as gen1 and I did a gen2 tpt a long while ago when CM7 started requiring it.

Now I'm eager to get going with the new CM9 builds which seem to require larger than 160mb system partitions.

I tried fastboot gen2 stock but got stuck on android logo, and I read that it can't be used by phones that have been upgraded via gen1-2 tpt.

What way is the easiest way?

Thanks

just download one of the 200mb system tpt's and the lastest ICS rom.

put them both on your sdcard. (the rom as a .zip) and (the tpt as the extracted image.bin file)

then boot with power, vol up, and menu.

wait till it boots clockwork

then wipe and flash the rom in the zip file

Where can I get a 200mb TPT? Im currently on a GEN2 TPT but have a GEN1 ZTE Blade. Do I have to TPT downgrade again before I put the new GEN2 200mb TPT on?

From here, you don't need to downgrade first just do the same as before. Choose Gen1-to-Gen2-TPT-v10-stock and make sure to have the ROM on your SD card. Also make sure to check the md5, install AFV from the market, in AFV go into the image folder long press on nandroid.md5 and press verify nandroid backup.

Download TPT Helper app from the market download or make you own partition size then check md5 sum from within the app then unzip then check all files match then start the TPT off remember to put your chosen rom on the fat of the sd card. The app does it all for you. If you run into any problems try flashing the latest recovery through the rom manager app always worked for me. Just noticed there is even a link to it in marksj post above so just use the instructions hear.

How to name .zip file of the ROM or just leave it as downloaded?

I do not understand what your asking, the rom you download should be named sweedish spring etc all you have to do is make sure it is still zipped and not in any folders or placed along side your folders visible as soon as you look at the sd card. After you TPT just wipe data factory resett then wipe partition then go into advanced and wipe dalvic then install zip chose your rom after that reboot. Hope this helps as I do not understand why you need to rename anything as long as you take note of the rom you are downloading.

P.S if you are installing cold fusion make sure you follow tillas advice on page 1 of his thread and install it his way that is very very important as you will run into problems if you do not follow his instructions. If unsure leave well alone.

Ok, I have in the root of sd card MIUIBlader-B1.zip and image directory with tpt files. All md5s are ok. Holding down menu + volup and hitting power button doesn't boot to tpt mode. Phone is stuck on green droid.

If you used the app TPT helper there is no need to power off your phone the app does it for you if you follow the instructions in my first post. Please check and let me know if you have rooted your phone and installed clock work mod recovery. If you have go back to my first post.

Are you using an all in one TPT plus rom?

Sorry there is no all in one listed for that rom.

No I need to know more about the phone you have. Was it originally bought as a Gen 1 or a Gen 2 phone as your problem might be the TPTs you're trying.

The TPTs on your link are Gen 2 so you need to use Gen 2 tpt files. Gen 1 to Gen 2 will not work you need Gen 2 to Gen 2 tpt files try using them and you should be o.k

P.S just looked at how long you have been a member and all your posts, you know more about the blade then me what ya doing trying to pull my leg ?.

No no, I'm not trying to pull your leg ;D

Maybe I was just a little bit confused about tpt :(.

Hmz, I don't remember how I went from 128mb layout with gen2 to 160mb gen2...

Updated with tpt helper ant stock gen2 tpt. Worked just fine ;).

Thanks for your time, bladebuddy ;)
