Samsung Galaxy S2 - Updating Android Software

Hi,

I am new to Android and recent got a Samsung S2 and after checking the software version it (Android 2.3.4) Can anyone explain to me or send me a link which will show me how to update this with the latest version which i believe is (Android 4.0) Any help much appreciated.

also forgot to mention ive tried the software update on the phone itself but it says there isnt one available.

It'll become available to you when your network makes it available. Android 4.0 hasn't been officially released for this phone yet.

correct, not offically but you can put it on.
