WidgetLocker after new rom install

I'm using a custom lock screen I created with WidgetLocker, MinimalisticText and beautifulwidgets. Problem I have is everytime I install a new rom and restore the settings the widgets don't appear properly, I get the error "tap to restore widget" on all of them. If I tap I get the screen to choose a new widget.

This is annoying as it's quite a lot of work to setup my whole configuration from scratch. Is anyone else having the same problem? I assumed the widgetlocker + minimalistictext combination was quite popular...

I can not seem to keep or restore any configuration I have done with minimalistictext...

If there is no fix, I will have to abandon this configuration and look for alternatives...

I just noticed I have the same behavior on "normal" desktop widgets, how do you guys & girls restore your desktop widgets to the state before flashing the new rom?
