Guest ben3333 Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Hi there, had a look around and tried a few things but still no joy. Just tried to root my phone through one of the topics on here, downloaded drivers, clicked the .bat file, job done? Android man came up, orange logo kept trying to load but then looped for about an hour. Thought s***, I've bricked another one! (blade last month!) Tried to recover it using fastboot, formatted the phone, rebooted, android man and black screen (no rom?) Anywho, where do I go now? I begrudge buying a new one, but might take it into orange tomorrow if I can't get a fix tonight. Cheers in advance to anyone who can help.
Guest Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) Go here: Download a tpt, unzip it to the root of SD card so you have a folder called image. Now turn of device. Now press power+menu+volume up Wait for the magic to happen........ You should now see recovery Flash your rom enjoy Edit: go with option 2 tpt, this will give you room for any rom. Guest ben3333 Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Right cool, done that. Any preference on the best ROM out at the mo?
Guest Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 (edited) Right cool, done that. Any preference on the best ROM out at the mo? At the moment roms that are stable would be logicmod,Atomic, ice armour, skatie. I personally am using ice armour III at the moment because I love the cm7 features, also, ice armour is good with battery and is a solid rom. There is also cm9 and miui, but both have reboot problems at the moment, which to me means they are not stable enough for daily usage. As soon as tilal works his magic and fixes reboots,my personnel choice will most likely be Miui or cm9. Guest ben3333 Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Cheers lads. Sorted it out. Started with Skatie and now on atomic. Although I think I'd prefer a standard rom which has been rooted? is there such a thing? Like to tweek it myself rather than someone else tweek it for me. Thanks again!
Guest C3C0 Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 I have an archive of all stock roms that are being used in slovakia. Including the generic ZTE Android 2.3.5 rom. For each original version of rom there is a rooted version available with clockworkmod recovery. Here is my archive google translated. http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=sk&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=sk&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fandroidforum.sk%2Fupravene-rom%2Forange-monte-carlo-stock-rom-t1771.html&act=url You can use the last one which is generic unbranded 2.3.5. Also rooted +cwm version avialable. They are all TPTs with original partition layout.
