Guest CopBuster Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Is it possible to change the processor of blade and put other android processor, because my blade is getting slower day by day...?? ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Other question: Anybody tried any custom body for their blades??
Guest adizz Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 I'm pretty sure you can't swap CPUs on a phone. Even if possible, it'd take a ton of skill to accomplish it.
Guest agpoli Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Short story: no way to change it, buy a new phone with a processor that has more craft inside.
Guest Sulthekk Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 I think that there are no SoC systems supporting swapping the cpu... On the body: The front panel is assembled with the digitizer. You could replace the back, but swapping the front part is dangerous and should be avoided.
Guest Maxsas360 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 (edited) You can change the CPU, but there is a 50 percent risk it will work and no guarantee it will boot with the kernel and the BGA soldering equipment to put it in place costs only 10k$. You can change the front panel, but It is risky too, because you can break the digitizer when unsticking from the old fascia. Edited February 23, 2012 by Maxsas360
Guest Sulthekk Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 You can change the CPU, but there is a 50 percent risk it will work fifty-fifty? So in short, it MAY or MAY NOT work. :D
Guest Maxsas360 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 It means that the cpu after soldering will work and will not be fried or damaged. The chipset could be incompatible and kernel would be incompatible and the ROM.
