Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 The official Twitter client just received an big update, adding several new features and enhancements - most significant being hardware acceleration support for Ice Cream Sandwich. For those lucky enough to have access to the new OS, your Twitter experience should be much speedier. It's fantastic news considering the ridicule the app has received since the iOS-inspired redesign that left it bordering on unusable. Even if you aren't rocking the latest Android release on your phone there are some enhancements worth having, including a swipe gesture over individual tweets to bring up quick actions. You can find the full list after the break. Or, maybe change them out for real Android buttons, instead of just moving some iOS ones up to the top of the screen. The picture shows a comparison between a 480p and a 720p device. Makes it look a bit weird, no? If you see this Twitter…thanks in advance for the credit when you roll out the fix ;) Get it on the Market: Twitter Source: Twitter Blog This item was promoted to the News page - click here to view.
