Guest rammstein_08 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Hey guys,i have a Streak 5 from a market near by.i bought it very cheap since the LCD was cracked.i don't know his history. so,i got a new LCD from ebay, replaced it easy.but when i tried to start the phone it's stuck at DELL logo.i tried flashing it with several versions of android using fastboot to install the recovery and put the update.pkg on the sd but when i hit "software upgrade via update, pkg on sd card" the screen goes black and that's all.it stays black forever.also, when i hold the camera& power button i get this for a split second: TE Fail.Try again. 2nd TE = 48 TE pass (sometimes instead of 48 is 500 or 50) please help.i have spent hours on forums trying to figure this out..

Guest 80sLoveCHILD Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 Blinking leds means wrong baseband or something like that. I would head over to xda and get the DSC 0.7 ROM. Make sure you read install instructions because you need to fastboot flash an AMSS file and possibly one other file. This should fix the flashing lights. DSC is currently the most stable streak ROM imho.
Guest rammstein_08 Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) after flashing DSC 0.7 i got this on the dell logo: /system/bin/e3fsck -y /dev/block/innersd0p6 File system check returned status 2048,e2fsck status was8 Please send this unit to software development for debugging. Formatting your device to repair it.Please don't remove the battery. Data formatted OK. After that i get DSC logo for a fiew seconds an then a couple of restarts and stuck at dell log again... I have flashed the required files and recovery before flashing the os. Blinking leds means wrong baseband or something like that. I would head over to xda and get the DSC 0.7 ROM. Guest rammstein_08 Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 that's it..i give up.i tried several SD cards for the inner slot.even a SD HC one.the same results.after flashing fail, every card needed to be formatted to be accessible.i am guessing the inner SD port is faulty or something.any sugestions? i think i'm gonna sell it for parts..
Guest rammstein_08 Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 so after i put the screws back in place i don't get the error on the dell logo.with the 2.4 gingerbread i got BIOS startup and then restart and freeze at dell logo.after battery taken out for 2 minutes, same thing,BIOS,restart, freeze. with the DSC it restarts during installation, once during recovery screen itself.clearly has some hardware problem.no ideas left..
Guest 80sLoveCHILD Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 No ideas im afraid. Maybe ask over at xda. Seems a bit more alive than here
