wake up phone alternate keys?

Does anyone have info on how you can set up alternate keys to the power button to wake up the Acer Liquid Mt.

CM7 volume rocker wake setting appears not to work (very often!).

---- appears Volume rocker wake only works when phone isn't in deep sleep, so this is a no go unless you want to drain your battery fast.
