Apps from Three

Hi, everyone (especially 3UK users ;))

Since I've flashed a custom ROM, Apps from Three not available for me in the Market anymore.

Please, guys, could someone backup fresh versions of 3UK stuff for me and others concerned. I'm looking for Skype-on-Three, Windows Live Messenger and Facebook from Three, whitch available in the Market for any 3UK Branded phone. My current ROM is CM7 based and one of old beta Skype-on-Three going well, so I think not really matter for Android 2.2 or 2.3 application is.

Also would be good to take a look at build.prop from native 3UK ROM, coz I guess these restrictions in the Market it's question of device fingerprints and descriptions in the build.prop. Maybe someone know the truth?

As well, I'm trying to run Nandroid Backup of 3UK Wildfire (found on xda) in AVD, but no luck so far.

So, would be very grateful for answers to any question, because no need to explain for 3UK users what all this 3UK-stuff means for us B)

I am considering migrating to a different mobile network as the PAYG package I have at the moment is not the most competitive in terms of cost or flexibility, so I am now wondering about 3....

I flashed my Blade to CM7; if I move to 3 Network (after SIM unlocking the handset I guess), would regular versions of Skype and Facebook not work?

Skype and Skype-on-Three it's different apps. Regular Skype and Facebook would be work anyway on any SIM, but Facebook or Skype-on-Three on 3UK you can use absolutely for free on mobile Internet. Problem is what Apps-from-Three not visible in the Market on debranded phone.

Hello,

I'm on 3UK and I use it's Skype for a long time (from the purchase of first Skypephone).

Here's a version that I currently use and one lite Beta version. Beta is a more recent, but full version has more options and working as good as Beta and has the same battery and memory usage.

P.S.   I am also looking for Facebook from Three but for now using Facebook Zero - it's a text version of Facebook and you can use it for free on 3UK by typing 0.facebook.com into your browser. Just make sure what Wi-Fi is OFF, because all 3UK stuff will work on mobile data only.

I have all-you-can-eat data on my 3 plan (swapped from another network to get better bang for my buck), so presumably "normal" skype and facebook would still be free under those terms?

You yourself are have already answered the question :huh:

You have a 3 Plan - it means that this is not free of charge for you. "Normal" skype and facebook will be working on all-you-can-eat data plan, but Apps from Three will be working on £0.00 balance on Pay As You Go - it's truly for free.
