Guest Voxpop2011 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Having rooted and unlocked my Orange Monte Carlo and got it looking and behaving as I want, I was irritated by my Vodafone network number not showing up in the 'About phone' stats. So I googled the problem and found a fix. You will need an older phone - I used my first generation LG Viewty - into which put your chosen network sim card. Navigate to the settings and then the 'my number' field. If this area is blank, enter network number and SAVE. Take the card out and return it to the unlocked phone and go into 'About phone' where you should see the number.:D
Guest Frankish Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Or use the my number app from the market? Lol
Guest Voxpop2011 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Or use the my number app from the market? Lol I tried this app and it threw up an error message at installation, which is why I googled the problem. A fix is a fix however achieved.

Guest NorthernNoel Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 You can change it in Ice Armor III and probably CM. Go to settings/call settings/additional settings/my phone number
Guest v1pEr Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 (edited) Uhhhmmm... Name of the app please! Thanx!! There is a box in the top right of the page where you can enter text to search for an app, it's quite handy actually https://market.andro...y+number&c=apps ;-) Edit: I'm assuming the app is actually called "My Number", which is in the market Edited February 28, 2012 by v1pEr

Anyway, the app didn't add the number to SIM. Still displayed as 'Unknown number'. Gonna try with an older phone.
Guest holtend Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Just did it the CM way and worked great, thanks for the tip :)
