Guest JetKun Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) Just a quick q, I'm away from my pc, does a nandroid backup work with s2e/Link2SD or my ext3 partition- will it restore all the data, etc, to the correct partitions? If I want to try out a new ROM, and I nandroid back-up the one I am currently on (being CM7, wanting CM9), can I simply restore it via CWM and not run out of memory, or not corrupt anything, etc, if most of the apps I had are on the EXT3 partition? I can answer any questions ;) One more question- do I need to wipe cache, dalvik cache and the whole kaboodle as if I was installing a ROM when I do a Nandroid restore? Guest Frankish Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Yes cwm supports ext partitions as standard.

Guest JetKun Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Wonderful! That'll work for CM9 to CM7, right? (By the way, there's your +1)

(+1'd) Yes I can put more in, :) You don't have to wipe because when you restore a nandroid it basically overwrites all of the partitions, therefore there is no trace of what was there before ;)
