ZTE Blade Gen 2 on CM7 root issues?

Hey, I recently tried to install DarkTremor's A2SD, but the first time it didn't work, so I tried repartitioning the SD card, doing a fresh install of the ROM and then reinstalling Gapps and DT's A2SD. Now I'm experiencing problems with both A2SD and some other apps that require root access.

I downloaded and installed A2SD GUI after noticing that apps weren't being moved to the external storage, only to be told the Script wasn't working and to try the command "A2SD check" in the terminal emulator. This returns an error [1] Segmentation fault. A2SD repair, and basically every other command related to A2SD returns this error, regardless of whether or not I have elevated superuser access.

I also read that A2SD GUI requires busybox, so I tried to download + install an installer from the market, and both busybox installers return errors saying I'm either not rooted properly, or I've mis-configured Superuser.

I then tried to run Z4root to reroot my device, but Z4root is stuck on "running exploit in order to obtain root access" for the past hour. Is there any other way I can permanently root the blade or fix these problems? Thanks.

You could try re-flashing superuser. Download 3.0.7efghi using Rom Manager. It won't be able to flash it if super suer is broken so boot into clockwork manually and install it from there.

If that doesn't help, it's maybe worth noting that my super user broke in CM7 today after a rom update from a previous CM7 and I formatted system and re-installed the rom and it was then fine.

Hey, I tried the second piece of advice, and now it doesn't say that I'm not rooted. However, A2SD still doesn't work :( and I can't seem to re-root or unroot the device using Z4root . Guess this is as good as it gets though :P

Thanks.

i thought z4root takes advantage of a bug that's fixed in newer roms?
