Guest rwalton159 Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 I've had my SF since October 2010 but would like a bigger screen to make more use of the internet I would appreciate some feedback on the Monte Carlo (from orange) and whether its worth swapping my SF for one. Many thanks Richard
Guest popoyaya Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 The main thing the MC has going for it is the 4.3" screen, though it is a TFT and not the superior OLED kind that was on the original gen1 Blade. The processor is marginally faster at 800MHz, still a long way from the dual-core 1GHz chips found in recent phones like the Galaxy S2. With next-gen quad core phones round the corner I'd wait for phones like the S2 to come down to the £200 mark, rather than pay £120+ for a slow and old tech phone like the Monte Carlo. Having said that if it was on sale for £80 I might be tempted.
Guest hugobosslives Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 i recently got a skate (have both now). skate is much better. much faster and better to use with the massive screen. makes internet much better. i recommend the upgrade if it doesn't cost you too much. quad cores will be expensive for a while so no point holding out for one (unless you have the cash)
Guest popoyaya Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 quad cores will be expensive for a while so no point holding out for one (unless you have the cash) If you read what I said I suggested waiting for dual cores to come down, not quad cores.
