Application is not installed on your phone

Hi,

I'm sure that there's a simple fix for this (hopefully)...

I powered my phone down and removed the SD card to copy to pictures to my PC.

Re-installed the card and powered up the phone and now I seem to be 'missing' a lot of apps (Market, Barnacle, System monitor, etc) and also on my home screen the icons for Co-Pilot, etc are wrong and when I tap them I get "Application is not installed on your phone".

It's as if everything that's on the SD card has suddenly become inaccesible, but the files all appear to be there and are intact.

I'm running a Cutom Rom (the one that has the "Blue lightning effect around the Android Robot" at boot - sorry I forgot what it's name was!

please help,

Jeff

Do you typed the commands without the $ and #? (it's just symbolize the prompt)

Superuser is installed and works? If not, try to flash it with clockworkmod recovery and try the repair again. You can download superuser here

OK, re-did the superuser, and can now su from terminal emulator.

Ran a2sd repair, no errors reported - have rebooted, but no change - still appear to be missing most of the apps, etc.

Guess it's somehow trashed itself, unless you have any other things I can try

Odd that just removing the card can cause so much damage

What a2sd check says about the dalvik cache?

Is it on internal memory? If so, try a2sd cachesd in terminal.

I haven't removed the memory card of the phone ever.

If I want to access to the card, I connect my phone to the PC with the USB cable.
