Guest stevelyn123 Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Hi, I`m quite new to flashing so apologies if this post has been covered before. i have a san francisco gen 1 ( verified by Mr Pigfish) and would like to change from swedish spring to cyanogenmod. I have followed the instructions and updated to the latest clockwork, downloaded and placed the gen 1-2 tpt image file in root of sd card, put a cm7 zip file and google apps on the card also. I did a backup in clockwork, wiped data then cache, installed cm7 zip and then google apps. The phone said everything was installed but after I reboot I get a big green android straight away. Am I missing something or have I done something wrong.
Guest youngsta2010 Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 Did you do the TPT? If not, and assuming you have "Gen1-to-Gen2-TPT-v10-(custom or stock).zip" on your SD card, you need to unpack said zip to the root of your SD card, this will create a folder named "image". Now install Android File Verifier (AFV) from the market. Once installed open the app and navigate to the "image" folder, inside you will find a file called "nandroid.md5" long press on that and choose "verify nandroid backup" if you see "nandroid verify success" continue if not re-download the file and check again til you do. Make sure you have CM7 and gapps on your SD card. Power off your phone, take out the battery, put it back in, now hold down menu and volume + and power on the phone. You should see some green text on the screen, once it is finished it will boot into clockwork and you can now flash the ROM. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do a bit more reading and research until you fully understand the process and the small risk involved so you get it right first time.
