Guest downtime Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 (edited) I have a Blade V880 that I successfully rooted following this guide (thanks hedgepigdaniel) and have been using for about 4 months. I did the same for three other V880s. A friend brought back another one from Shanghai three days ago and this one is a V880+. I followed the same procedure for rooting and the download failed and the thing is bricked. I can't get into Recovery mode or display the FTM screen. It still connects to Windows though and I tried Method 5 of this guide. It gets to about 25% and I get a failed download with this error in the log file: Current Version(bd_sw_inner_ver_str) : Phone in Download mode Download Version : C:\Users\jratliff\Desktop\ZTE Firmware Flasher\China Unicom v880 Firmware Armprg path : C:\Users\jratliff\Desktop\ZTE Firmware Flasher\armprgZTE.bin 2012.2.27 19:54:41¡ª¡ªDownload armprg.bin... 2012.2.27 19:54:46¡ª¡ªskip to armprg... 2012.2.27 19:54:51¡ª¡ªenter security mode... 2012.2.27 19:54:51¡ª¡ªDownload partition.mbn... 2012.2.27 19:54:51¡ª¡ªDownload qcsblhd_cfgdataPath.mbn File... 2012.2.27 19:54:52¡ª¡ªDownload OEM bootloader... 2012.2.27 19:54:53¡ª¡ªDownload AMSS... 2012.2.27 19:55:18¡ª¡ª½ÓÊÕÖ¸Áʱ! 2012.2.27 19:55:28¡ª¡ªHSDLmainFunc ClosePacket Fail 2012.2.27 19:55:28¡ª¡ªDownload fail, please check the log file to get fail information! I searched for the HSDLmainFunc ClosePacket Fail and found a lot of recent threads in Chinese. Does anyone have any idea what this is about? Any help is appreciated. Edited March 1, 2012 by downtime
Guest davidloweruk Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 I be intrested what way it is to fix this has its still a blade?
Guest downtime Posted March 3, 2012 Report Posted March 3, 2012 I thought maybe I had a hardware problem with my phone, but I tried it with another 880+ and had the same issue. Now there are two bricks. Is it possible that the phone now needs something different to root?
Guest iSid Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 I was repartitioning my ZTE Blade v880+ and it failed. It wouldn't boot into either recovery or normally (it just showed the red back-button light and screen wouldn't turn on). So I tried the guide (http://www.modaco.co...ng-a-zte-blade/) Method 5 on my blade (chinese blade) when this happened. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Looks like my only hope is the ZTE Firmware Flasher, but this isn't working either! :'(
Guest WAWA72 Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 ZTE Firmware Flasher- as Administrator and with Win7 under XP Modus
Guest iSid Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 Thanks a lot WAWA72 for replying so quickly. As you instructed, I tried by ticking Windows XP SP2 compatibility ticked in the Windows 7 Compatibility settings and running it as Administrator, but after following due steps and hitting the purple arrow finally, it goes up to 25% and the it stops for a while and then give the error "Download fail, please check the log file to get fail information!". The log file shows the same error as I put up in my last post. My phone is an Indian Idea Blade (Chinese ZTE Blade with 256MB RAM and Gen2). I have been searching on google and madaco and other forums, but I haven't found a solution to this particular problem regarding the v880+ Chinese phones. I have found a few posts with similar problem, but no solution yet. Please do post if you have any other recommended solutions. Thanks.
Guest downtime Posted June 24, 2012 Report Posted June 24, 2012 Is it possible that the hardware changed from the 880 to the 880+ and a different flasher is required? It's just a guess. I hope someone can shed some light. Thanks.

Guest iSid Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 hi friends my blade is completely dead. during TPT , it hangs on 10% and then keep on hanging then i remove the battery after that it will no longer works. now, their is no charging, no LED working. help me guys.......? So ur Blade is not charging, LED is not lighting up? does it atleast vibrate when u press the power button? if none of these happen, it's a hard brick... Same happened with my old blade (a Dell XCD35), and it was out of warranty. btw, ir urs is still in warranty, they'll probably replace ur handset/motherboard... If not, well... nothing else can be done... as it happened with me.. :'(
