Guest Mark Dearlove Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Would you like a child friendly, low cost Ice Cream Sandwich toting tablet? Yes? Then the Archos Child Pad will be right up your street. With a 7" screen (no word on type, or resolution yet) a single core 1GHz processor and 1GB ram, the Child Pad is not going to storm to the top of a lot of peoples wish list. At £99 ($129) however, it's worth a look for a birthday present if that display turns out to be capacitive. Resistive screen tech should be banished for ever more! It comes pre-loaded with 28 of the "top" kids apps, including Angry Birds. Instead of the Android Market, you will need to use the Archos AppsLib store. Additionally 'Mobile Parental Filter' parental controls are installed giving peace of mind when your kids are surfing. Source: Archos This item was promoted to the News page - click here to view.
