Hi,

Here we go again, someone asking about HTC Sense. Is there a rom? Can it be ported? If not could we port apps like Rosie and their Widgets? I'm guessing we would need to tweak framework

Let me know what you think

Porting has been started by the_crevis, but he didn't had enough time to finish it. Now I'm trying to do it, but as soon as I had a try, I must go away from the computer because of my brother or my sister. It boots, but it's still not HDPI and needs a lot of work, everything has to be resized. I still don't give up though, as I figured out how to do it from the phone itself. It's just painful on a touchscreen.

It's still in the state that the_crevis left it. I have extracted and looked around, but I just can't do anything without a full-power desktop. Maybe I could replace some images with ninjamorph, but thats slow. Will check what link I got from the_crevis, and upload a mirror somewhere else too.

That's what he sent me:

hi there, sorry this is so late i lost hope with this project and completely forgot about it, here's a link to my sense port:

http://www.mediafire.com/?ty2zqbd4y3t3vtb

it boots but doesn't do much else. Basically everything needs to be resized which is a tough and huge task.

Well, I usually go on with an old IBM T21, so that's more than enough :D

I'm trying to get access to the desktop machine anyway, as the T21 is in the state of ..... errr..... no operating system because of a .... umm ... 'experiment'.

So this ROM just always boots back into recovery??

I flashed it onto the phone now to test, and looks like the answer is yes. Sorry for the late post but looks like my sdcard is dieing, as the CWM backup became damaged, and it took a long time to revert it. I don't want to risk again flashing it until I get another one, so your help is very appreciated. I wonder if this is a kernel issue or the problem is with init...

So what Is the partitesize?

I think that we get the reboots because we got too small /system partition. I TPT'ed to 160Mb system, but I'm not sure. Would be nice if I had a JTAG to get those nasty kernel debug messages... What is your partition layout?

My ROM port should fully boot up as it does for me and FelixL, you need a 200mb system partition. And although i'm no longer working on the project, i'll be happy to help out if youve got questions etc.

Thank you. I don't wanna tpt my phone back as the sdcard is dieing, and I can't find another one, but I'll just 'borrow' my brother's phone for experiments. ;)
