Guest bob786 Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 (edited) Bought a Orange San Fran. Now on second replacement. The phone keeps dropping calls after 5-10 mins. Have tried on both swedish snow and japanese jellyfish ROMs and the same thing happens. Not a network issue as have full bars, have tried with different SIMs and in differentlocations. Same thing happens. Any help would be appreciated PS. ive read someting about a problem with the proximity sensor. I suspected this but didnt know how to change? Edited March 7, 2012 by bob786
Guest Davidoff59 Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 (edited) Proximity sensor will only cause an issue if the screen is lit up while your on the phone talking with it up to your ear. This will allow your ear to press buttons on the screen. If it is lit up while talking, calibrate the proximity sensor. Its either built into the app or you can get it on the market, called proximity sensor calibration, made by Zte Corporation Edited March 7, 2012 by Davidoff59
Guest bladebuddy Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 (edited) All the proximity sensor does is switch the screen off when the sensor is covered E.g when its placed near your ear then switches back on when light hits it E.g away from your ear. This should not drop calls when talking on the phone. Are you sure your are not pressing the power or end button by accident during a call . Sorry the post above came in whilst writing this Edited March 7, 2012 by bladebuddy
