Data connection failed

Hi

I was using google maps this morning to find an address, got there, put phone away. An hour later I wanted to look up a book title - no internet. Under settings, it shows "data connection failed".

I have an unlocked but otherwise original Orange SF about 16 months old. I've tried adding a new APN - no joy. I have APNs for Orange internet and Orange SUPL UK (and MMS), neither of them work. I've taken the battery out to get a restart, taken the SIM out ditto but still no joy.

I've seen reference to a factory reset, but can't immediately see how to do this - or whether it would help. If I did that I assume I would have to redownload the various apps I have? WiFi works fine.

Any help gratefully accepted

OK - it's not the phone, it's Orange. Just been talking a a tubbie - my account is "locked" - because I have an unpaid bill of £0.00 and they tell me that all Orange internet is down
