Guest bladebuddy Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 (edited) To day at work I wanted to try an ics theme on Konsta's SSRLS5 but as I have the TPT version of the rom the system partition has only 5mb free. So downloaded a 105mb partition 2mb cache TPT from TPT helper. Did not check the md5 sum as I seen Amphores write on a forum yesterday that something about them being wrong ( I probably miss read or something). Anyway I also updated cwm recovery through rom manager as this rom had an older version. Also downloaded Rls5 normal rom. Started the tpt all went well green lights and all started up in cwm and tried to flash the rom. The rom seemed to upload ok but after that just hung on boot animation. So I then tried my Nandroid backup and that did the same. Just to add I earlier deleted tpt rls5 version. So when I got home I looked on my pc for the original tpt I used to go from Gen1 to Gen2 and installed that once finished my screen looked broken e.g funny lines and colours but it did go into cwm a version I do not even remember smaller with cm bootup logo. I was able to boot the rom fine. Thinking I would update cwm recovery later. This is when I noticed some serious problems tried to download titanium backup it said I had no room so reinstalled a2sd and checked my memory 90mb free so tried again with T.B still no go. Whent back into recovery and tried factory reset it would not let me do that. Then tried Nandroid again still no joy. I was able to download the tpt version on the rom and tried that again and all normal now. I would just like to no what I did wrong and has anyone else had a similar experience. Don't be to harsh as pi----off with myself already. Just to add a bit more info on the clock work recovery that I did not recognize, before entering it cyanogen boot up animation showed and in recovery itself the was a wipe option which after pressing gave you the options to wipe dalvic,sd etc no normal wipe data factory e.t.c. if this helps Edited March 9, 2012 by bladebuddy
Guest JudasLucifer Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 105mb system partition, really? have you read the ICS threads? They seem to recomend about 200mb if you want Gapps :P Or did you mean data partition? So re-flash with a higher system partition size and try to flash the ROM again, and see how it goes. Can't really think of what else this could be?

I was adding a ICS theme to Swedish spring rls5 not trying a ICS rom , sorry if I did not make that clear rls5 is less then 90 mb if I remember correctly.
Guest youngsta2010 Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 (edited) I have a 160mb partition with 37.3mb free with Swedish Snow. That's with Maps and Play Store on /data cos they've been updated. edit: Sorry you said Swedish Spring! I'll just keep my mouth shut :D edit2: You mentioned KonstaT in your first post did you mean Snow? :P Edited March 10, 2012 by youngsta2010
Guest bladebuddy Posted March 10, 2012 Report Posted March 10, 2012 (edited) Sorry Did mean Swedish snow. I Though the partition might of been a little small but would it look like it was loading up E.G the little yellow loading bar and text goes all the way to the end then boots. I have never had this happen before but If to small would there not be a error or crash before it loads up. As for the second problem. I think I know the problem. Any files I use and work I shift to my p.c. There are two zip gen1 to gen2 files on my PC one used on mine and one on my sons both the same custom download from T.P.T helper.I remember when I did both phones there was an error report at the end of the flash with my phone but it was successful and if it was the same file it should of overwrite the other when in the same folder not be 2 files if you understand what I am trying to say. One must have a monster inside. Edited March 10, 2012 by bladebuddy
