Guest targetbsp Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Chainfire (of 3d fame) has created an alternative to SuperUser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu I'm not sure SuperUser needs an alternative but now there is one if you want!
Guest youngsta2010 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 I'm not sure either, I have no problems with su. Also when you update your app 3 times in 1 day it doesn't instill confidence.
Guest Davidoff59 Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 youngsta, here is another view on your thoughts. It is good to see him bug fixing and maintaining it. As a one man team, he can't test everything himself so is responding to bug reports presumably. 3 updates is a good sign as he is putting a lot of effort into stabalising and perfecting what is a brand new app used on many different phones. Now if this was Google, I would say your having a laugh, hire some QA personnel.
Guest targetbsp Posted March 9, 2012 Report Posted March 9, 2012 Also when you update your app 3 times in 1 day it doesn't instill confidence. Well... it only came out today. And it has to serve as the go between for every root capable app and every rom on every model of phone. I don't envy him. :D
Guest ColdEmbrace Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 I lost root access when I deleted SuperSU how do I fix this? Someone mentioned flashing SU from CWM, but seeing as I'm on CM7 SU was built into the ROM, how do I fix this?
Guest targetbsp Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Download it using Rom Manager, then boot up into recovery and flash it.
Guest martin tander(estonia) Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 targetspb, he lost root access he cant go in cwm afaik)) just my opinion tho
Guest ColdEmbrace Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Thank you the thought of doing that had totally eluded me.
Guest targetbsp Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 targetspb, he lost root access he cant go in cwm afaik)) just my opinion tho Yeah he can. ;) It's volume down during power on.
Guest JudasLucifer Posted March 12, 2012 Report Posted March 12, 2012 Yeah he can. ;) It's volume down during power on. Imagine trying to explain fastboot flashing of stuff. That was a nightmare for me.
