Guest anarkill Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 (edited) I ported the Chinese joyOS Rom in iPhone style phone with a Samsung Galaxy Ace. It is based on CM 7.2 with 29 kernel. It's only beta. Everything that works in CM 7.2 also works in joyOS Port. But there are a few bugs: On the high frequency of CPU rebooting sometimes happen.Sometimes crashes phone.apk when walking in and outgoing calls. But this is rare. It's have only English and China language. It is slightly slower than the Cm 7.2. But it nice =) ROM UPDATED! version 1.1.0 RC. Now ported from chines version of Huawei Sonic. 1) fixed (probably) a bug dialer. 2) Updated code base applications (better animation). 3) Replaced the library. No errors android.process.acore. 4) Added joyOS player with Cover Flow effects and display a player on the screen lock. 5) More stable (probably) MORE CSREENS How to install it: Via nandroid bacup (recomended! Already configured!)Download Rom http://www.mediafire...ebgb5i3tx2j35g5 and extract it into /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/Make sure that the destination path looks like this: /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/joyOSAnd then via recovery restore this backup (point nandroid => restore)via flashable zip(not recommendet. Some chance than not work. No configured!)Downloading firmware (download)Downloading patched SystemUI (download)Downloading patched framework. (download)Flash the firmware. Boot. Make sure that the status bar at the right place.Flash the patched SystemUI. Boot. Make sure that the status bar the right place and changed.Flash the patched framework. Boot. Make sure that everything works (or vice versa). Don't flash all at once - will not be the status bar or not loaded. Why do so - no idea. Mystery and magic. So we go strictly according to instructions. If you were install ROM through the flashble zip - then a couple more after the action: How to enable overclocking: How to enable notification in iPhone style P.S Sorry for bad english, I use Google Translator Edited March 14, 2012 by anarkill
Guest samnang Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 No. Based on cm 7 I wish i could try with MIUI. anyway, look so interacting.
Guest anarkill Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 I wish i could try with MIUI. With MIUI much more difficult. There is an additional library, as in the HTC Sense. And probably modified kernel. My knowledge of Android is not so much great.

You using clockwork mod 2.x version or a new 3.x ? Use green clockworkmod recovery please This one is for u8230 only, right? No. It's for u8230 and u8220 (maybe) because I made it based on CM 7.2 u8220/u8230. But I test it only on my u8230
Guest anarkill Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 hi could you make a flashable zip instead a backup? thx...will test your rom. Not now. Maybe later. Too difficult to make flashable zip with /data/data becouse we need to write the owner of each folder for each application separately. Now I finish updating Rom for 1.1.0 version. More stable (fix some bugs) and with some improvements.
Guest desalesouche Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 hi anarkill.i canno't restore this backup on my u8230.after checking md5 sums i have a md5 mismatch...so it is not working :( .i am using cwm recovery v2.5.0.7
Guest anarkill Posted March 13, 2012 Report Posted March 13, 2012 May be archive damaged when download. After half an hour I'll update the link to the new version and can do Update.zip without settings.

Guest D-D- Posted March 14, 2012 Report Posted March 14, 2012 (edited) hi can you explain what you transefered to data? so i can do the same in case to test that rom. thx a lot.:) Well espier launcher (cause it's 5mb) and RomManager (it's around 1 MB). I was going to transfer some other things too but I tried if it works this way and it worked. edit: Put ADW launcher as backup in system just in case. It's only 500KB. Edited March 14, 2012 by D-D-

Guest ChinaT Posted March 14, 2012 Report Posted March 14, 2012 Thank you for your nice work! Simplified Chinese is not displayed correctly。May need to replace a font file。
Guest anarkill Posted March 14, 2012 Report Posted March 14, 2012 Simplified Chinese is not displayed correctly。May need to replace a font file。 It is strange because originally this is chinese ROM for Huawei C8650
