Guest Vivek S Panicker Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 (edited) Is there any custom ROM available for Icecream in ZTE Blade/Idea Blade? I heard 4.0 is a major change in android and many old device hardware do not support icecream.Since CM9 is based upon 4.0, is there any hope for Blade users? Edited March 16, 2012 by Vivek S Panicker
Guest Simono Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 Yes in this forum [iCS] [CM9] ColdFusion for the ZTE Blade
Guest The Stkfigure Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 Yes,there's the cold fusion build, the burstlams build, and tomG's build. I'm running coldfusion atm, amazingly smooth, and almost everything works
Guest Vivek S Panicker Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Yes in this forum [iCS] [CM9] ColdFusion for the ZTE Blade I have checked out this link. But unfortunately, Idea Blade has only a free space of 160 MB and 4.0 requires installation space of 192 MB.

Wouldn't that brick it? He said that he has an idea/chinese blade!
Guest tilal6991 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Wouldn't that brick it? He said that he has an idea/chinese blade! He needs a tpt for Chinese blades.
Guest sm4tik Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) He needs a tpt for Chinese blades. Wasn't there one somewhere in the gen2/3 tpt ZTE Blade TPTs thread (not from Amphoras)? Maybe the same guy can make another one with a /system partition size that meets current ColdFusion requirements. @op read the gen2/3 thread, maybe you can get some help there if you actually need to repartition your blade? Guest Amphoras Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Gen 2 Chinese/Idea blades should have 220mb system by default. You shouldn't have to use any TPT unless you already used one, in which case you should know how to undo it.

Guest Vivek S Panicker Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 I think he is telling the wrong partition size Idea Blade is Chinese ZTE gen 2 device. Following are the memory details. RAM : 166.29 MB (total memory) ROM : 162.5 MB (total memory) Mine is a rooted phone with SS RLS6.
Guest saransh9 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Idea Blade is Chinese ZTE gen 2 device. Following are the memory details. RAM : 166.29 MB (total memory) ROM : 162.5 MB (total memory) Mine is a rooted phone with SS RLS6. Download user space from market and check system partition not data partition. Or wrote df -h in terminal emulator

Guest saransh9 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 ahhh whatever do any of the above it will give u system partition
Guest Amphoras Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Idea Blade is Chinese ZTE gen 2 device. Following are the memory details. RAM : 166.29 MB (total memory) ROM : 162.5 MB (total memory) Mine is a rooted phone with SS RLS6. 162.5MB is the data partition size on the stock Gen 2 layout. Your system partition should be 220MB which is big enough for ICS.
Guest saransh9 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 162.5MB is the data partition size on the stock Gen 2 layout. Your system partition should be 220MB which is big enough for ICS. but he gas 256mb ram so it might not boot
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) but he gas 256mb ram so it might not boot Yep CM9 needs 512mb of ram Edit: Or does it run with 256mb ram? Edited March 18, 2012 by razzmataz1478
Guest tilal6991 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Yep CM9 needs 512mb of ram Edit: Or does it run with 256mb ram? Runs with 128MB even. Only official CM has dropped support for >512MB devices.
Guest saransh9 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 For the nth time: RAM != ROM then how is it possible he has a Chinese blade with 220 mb system 162.5 data etc and 256 mb memory
Guest tilal6991 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 then how is it possible he has a Chinese blade with 220 mb system 162.5 data etc and 256 mb memory The partitions (system etc.) are ROM. The memory (256MB) is RAM.
Guest brookergray Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) then how is it possible he has a Chinese blade with 220 mb system 162.5 data etc and 256 mb memory I don't really see a question here. Edited March 18, 2012 by brookergray
Guest saransh9 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 The partitions (system etc.) are ROM. The memory (256MB) is RAM. But he said RAM=ROM
Guest tilal6991 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 But he said RAM=ROM He said RAM does not equal ROM - the ! means does not.
Guest saransh9 Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 He said RAM does not equal ROM - the ! means does not. Oh my bad
