Guest matt4321 Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 Saw this on XDA, http://www.xda-developers.com/android/qualcomm-releases-adreno-2xx-gpu-binaries-for-ics/ I'm no dev but doesn't our blade have adreno 200 GPU, so wouldn't this be of help?!
Guest skywave Posted March 16, 2012 Report Posted March 16, 2012 Crossposting from the other thread but: Its nice stuff for our GPU but not for our CPU :| But: GCC: (GNU) 4.4.3 aebi ARM v7
Guest Maxsas360 Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 Does this mean no fully functional ICS? I have to sell my phone till summer then :D
Guest tilal6991 Posted March 17, 2012 Report Posted March 17, 2012 It doesn mean no ics. It just maintains the status quo of having to use hacks which work fairly well anyway. This would be a bonus.

Guest nibblemonkey Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 There is a ArmV6 version now on the site https://developer.qualcomm.com/develop/mobile-technologies/gaming-graphics-optimization-adreno/tools-and-resources
Guest t0mm13b Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 (edited) Something is not quite right there.... according to qualcomm's developer website, it states This release contains the user-mode driver binaries for Qualcomm's Adreno 2xx GPU on Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich for ARMv6 based chipsets. It has been tested with the CAF release M8960AAAAANLYA1030. Supports any Adreno 2xx GPU on Android ICS using the ARMv6 chipset (7x27). Google's libRS (LLVM) does not currently support ARMv6. Have had to do some google-fu on this which points to a ARMv7 chipset source release... and also here according to this wikipedia entry (do a search on that page for 8960) which points to this small tid-bit... MSM8960[30][31][32] 28 nm ARMv7 1.5-1.7 GHz Dual-core Krait L2: 1 MB Adreno 225 Dual-channel 500 MHz LPDDR2 GSM (GPRS, EDGE), W-CDMA/UMTS (HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA+, DC-HSPA+ cat.28), MBMS, LTE cat.3, CDMA2000 (1xRTT, 1xEV-DO Rel.0/Rev.A/Rev.B, 1xEV-DO MC Rev.A), TD-SCDMA Q1 2012 Asus Transformer Pad Infinity (3G/4G version),[33] HTC One XL,[29] ZTE V96[citation needed] Now, what bugs me is this, CAF release M8960AAAAANLYA1030, is based on 8960 chipset which is ARMv7 so what gives? (Sure it's backward compatible, but...) that begs the question, why test it against a armv7 chipset, why did they not say... "It has been tested with the CAF release M7227..." or similar, which is actually a ARMv6/7x27 chipset? Edited March 29, 2012 by t0mm13b
