Hi have around £100 and so far the OMC looks like my best bet, [purely down to screen size] i know the San Fran 2 / Vivacity is pretty good but is the OMC better??? Whats it like watching vids / Youtube, playing apps and games, and also ive seen on here a Sim Unlock for it but is it defo done??? Cheers in advance jamie

Yes. If you do a lot of browsing / watch videos you will notice the difference in screen size. Games look good but I'm not really a hard core gamer. SIM unlock has been tested by hundreds of people so it definitely works.

For £100 (or cheaper, I paid £80 from Argos for ours) you can't go wrong. As long as you're not expecting miracles (ie: don't expect dual core performance from it) it's fine. The screen is good and bright. We previously had San Fran's (both my wife and I) and switched to the MC and while my wife initially found the size of it a little too much she wouldn't go back to the San Fran now if I paid her. In fact when I use the SF now which my son has I find it tiny in comparison.

The unlocks works, and there are plenty of good roms, depending on you're experience I'd probably start with either Atomic or IceArmor.

Most games work fine, and while there's a bit of lag occassionally it's pretty good. I don't know if you're looking at playing games on it but it's probably in the category of satisfactory rather than brilliant.

To be honest for the price you probably can't go wrong IMO.

cheers guys, well i bought a xperia play for christmas but accidently broke it, and then before that it was the pulse mini and used my partners blaze. Ive just seen some youtube vids of deadspace etc on and it looks smooth, Did you say its only £80 in argos??? cheapest ive found is the orange shop [£115, as ill use my fiancees orange sim lol]

And i do like the look of the San Fran [more than the Vivacity] Its just the OMC screen size,

Does it drain the battery life having such a big screen, and is it responsive??? cheers again

That was just after Xmas, yes it was £80 - I think they had it on for that recently but whether you'll find stock or not, it doesnt appear to be on the main site anymore - possibly clearance stock in some stores now.

Even for £100 it's still IMO good value given the caveats above :-)

Cant you get a discount on it if you ring orange since you already have an orange sim? I seem to remember you could get it cheaper if you're already a customer. If not they're giving you a £20 M&S voucher according to the site at the moment so depending on whether you ever shop there :-)
