Guest Rosz Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 Hello OMC fellows, I will receive my OMC next weekend and I am alreary wonder which ROM to chose, all developers had put a great effort and support for their ROMs, but still I have to choose one ROM. Can someone of you who had used more ROMs to share which of them is the best in keeping the batter life longer? Thank you

Guest Posted March 18, 2012 Report Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) The battery life debate is as old as android itself, and the fact of the matter is,its all down to personal usage. One rom may have good battery life, but some may say it has bad battery and others say it is good, which shows it is how each individual uses the battery that counts. But to answer the question of this topic,I say iceskater has best battery life. Edited March 18, 2012 by Guest
Guest TouchyAndalou Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 The two roms I've used for an extended period of time lately have been ice armor II and logicmod, and in my experience the battery life on logic is significantly better. In fact, it may be the best battery life I've experienced on this phone yet and I've tried quite a few of the roms. I do miss ice armor's soft keys and theme chooser a lot, but if your main consideration is battery life, then I'd suggest giving logic mod a try. *note* It's been reported that the iplayer app doesn't work on logic mod for some reason, so if this is important to you bear that in mind.

I am using LogicMod and am very happy with it. Just went through the weekend without recharging. Still 40%. What does not work in LogicMod is Flash player which the iplayer relies on. So if you need flash, don't use logicMod

I haven't actually gotten around to trying iplayer however, as I don't have wifi at home.

Guest Colibri Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 This may sound very silly, but I've found that ICESkater CM9's battery life is excellent. I'd now go 2 days standby!

Guest TouchyAndalou Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Any chance of a link? I haven't seen this and it'd be just what I was after. Cheers.

I was actually asking for a link to the 3g compatible iplayer app he mentioned. Thanks anyway. :D

I'd love a 3g iplayer app! I searched but couldn't find it. Thanks.
Guest Rosz Posted March 26, 2012 Report Posted March 26, 2012 Do you prefer logic or atomic? I am using Logic...but my OMC is on 2 days ...so the battery is not to be judge yet......but it seems I have GPS issues with this ROM...or at least with "My Tracks"
