Walking to work today I dropped my ZTE blade & the battery flew out (no problem there I thought its happened many times before)

Putting it back together it wouldn't turn on (again not a huge surprise) but after I got to work & charged it up the device won't fully boot.

It will turn on but only goes through the 1st android logo then the cyanogen mod7 logo, then the android logo again and then the cyanogen mod7 logo in a continually loop.

Also the phone will not hold any charge the minute I remove it from the power it dies.

Does anyone have any ideas whats going on or possible solutions?

I can get into the recovery boot menu

I would check the battery is not damaged just for your own safety. Any cracks, bulges or if it doesn't sit flat on a flat surface without rocking when you press on it and it should not be used. Li ion batteries can be extremely dangerous if damaged. They can explode, burn fiercely and the smoke is carcinogenic.

Not trying to scare you, just people don't generally know the dangers, or the warning signs.
