It sounds like you might not actually be on an unlimited internet tarrif? Which provider are you with? You can usually get info from your account on the carrier website as to what you've been charged for....
Guest stiefanu Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Try to disable delivery reports or something like this in messaging settings..
Guest Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 I suggest you switch to giffgaff which has unlimited data that really is unlimited. (I used almost 7Gb last month)
Guest Anthony1989 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 I'm on orange, its only been the last 2 times I topped up. Checked my settings and everything's fine. Think it could be time for a change of network

Think it could be time for a change of network Yes orange are notorious for being expensive.I remember the stock orange rom, there was an orange app, think it was a traffic app, and, just by entering the app you are automatically subscribed to the service.I think it was 3.99 a month, something like that. That's awful! Glad I didn't stay on the stock ROM for more than 5 hours...
Guest Anthony1989 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Its stupid! Anybody no a way to get rid of the voicemail sign without credit on orange?
Guest Smt923 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 I haven't read anyy post but generaly when providers say "unlimited" you get a feww hundred MB and then they start charging, If your phone switched to 3G and happens to be constantly updating (email or whatever apps) it could start costing a lot...
Guest tillaz Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 yeah, change network... orange are a joke for everything i would recommend t mobile, i top up £10 a month and get unlimited texts plus you keep the £10 credit on the phone witch i then use £5 of for true unlimited internet 600kb's (very fast) also tmobile has a moderate NAT setting wich means you can use VoIP services like viber, skype etc, without problems... lol i can even play Xbox live with it i used to use up to 40gb a month lol all for £5...
Guest donk165 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 yeah this is exactly the reason i switched to giffgaff, orange just drain all your credit when you do nothing, and if you do call anyone, youll lose like £2 a min, i swear they charge you for answering calls too Giffgaff FTW!

I have not been on t mobile for a few years, but when I was, there was a fair use policy.Has all that changed then ? and are you on a certain tarif ?
Guest Anthony1989 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Just ordered a giffgaff sim, thanks for all your help, finally bye bye to this horrible network
Guest tillaz Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 I have not been on t mobile for a few years, but when I was, there was a fair use policy.Has all that changed then ? and are you on a certain tarif ? im on pay as you go, with the unlimited texts option, it used to restrict you after the fair use policy from 4pm to 12pm but now after the fair use policy it remains full speed... sometimes i just top up £5 and buy the unlimited internet booster, since most of my contacts have viber i can get free texts, calls and internet for a 5a lol

Think it could be time for a change of network I lost just under £10 of credit on Orange from watching a YouTube video for no more than 10-15 seconds. If your phone is switching to 3G for whatever reason, it -will- burn through credit. I'd suggest either switching to their dolphin package which gives you a certain amount of free data a month, or better yet, switch to giffgaff like somebody already said, because seriously, it's a much, much better deal.

Guest Pillhead Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 I suggest you switch to giffgaff which has unlimited data that really is unlimited. (I used almost 7Gb last month) from a handset alone or via tethering? I struggle to do 1gb a month
Guest razzmataz1478 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 from a handset alone or via tethering? I struggle to do 1gb a month I have an unused giffgaff sim , anyone know if tethering's allowed on giffgaff?
Guest tilal6991 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 I have an unused giffgaff sim , anyone know if tethering's allowed on giffgaff? No. But as long as you don't go overboard you "might" be able to get away with it.

Anybody no how my credit could have go to 0.18 when not even in use I got mine from Argos Had to put £10 on PAYG, Only used my Wifi no phone calls and in less than 2 weeks I only had 67pence left, Me being a complete novice with this type of phone and not knowing how to change the setting, The phone companies should be ashamed of themselves setting these phones up so as to use your PAYG credit without the novice knowing.
Guest tillaz Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 I have an unused giffgaff sim , anyone know if tethering's allowed on giffgaff? i use usb tethering on my laptop every day, i even play xbox live with my phone using wifi tether... (t mobile)
Guest H3ROS Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Tethering isn't allowed on giffgaff unless you get a data plan. I was reading their forum about some people who were tethering without one and how they plan to ban them from the network.
