Guest Pinguy Posted March 23, 2012 Report Posted March 23, 2012 (edited) Title says it all. Installing the updated drivers does slightly improve 3D gaming, but after awhile of gaming you may find the phone becomes unstable and pretty hot (Playing Dead Space for an example). In Basemark ES 2.0 Taiji on the default drivers I was getting around 19fps But with them installed it was closer to 23 I have attached the updated drivers and the default ones if you want to go back to the originals. #EDIT The first ones I uploaded didn't seem to be packaged properly. It seems like I copied the default drivers to both packages  Sorry about that. These new ones are fine. I have installed them and tested them fully. I ran Basemark ES 2.0 Taiji 3 times straight after flashing them. With New Drive. 21.69 21.86 22.15 then flashing the default drivers and doing the same with the same setup. With Default Driver. 18.38 18.33 18.21new-egl_CWM.zip.zipdefault-egl_CWM.zip.zip Edited March 23, 2012 by Pinguy

Guest Pinguy Posted March 23, 2012 Report Posted March 23, 2012 (edited) I tried, no change,i use stock rom What benchmark did you use? I did notice that gaming was smoother and I was getting more FPS in Basemark ES 2.0 Taiji but using Quadrant & AnTuTu I saw no difference in the score. The drivers only improve 3D gaming so you will only see an improvement in that. I haven't tested NenaMark yet but you should see an improvement in that also. #EDIT set to 1.2GHz Default drivers same setup. I tested each benchmark 5 times to get an idea of the score. The new drivers seem to do about 3 to 5 FPS more then the default drives on average (but they are constant. The default drivers are all over the place. One second you get a good score, the second time its poor). There is an improvement with FPS with the updated drivers but not by much. The main thing with the updated drivers is how smooth games run. Before the graphic did get jumpy when there was a lot going on, but with the updated ones this doesn't happen. If you are not into 3D gaming you will see no benefits from theses updated drivers. Guest Genrix Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 Pinguy, where you find a new drivers?
Guest stoorzsto Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 Pinguy, where you find a new drivers? I know,it's from Galaxy W.
Guest Genrix Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 I watched the archive with new drivers adreno 205, for the IСS. I noticed that Qualcomm give not only the files from "/system/lib/egl", but also files from the "/system/lib/" folder. Maybe we should examine the files and drivers from Samsung W and may need something else to upgrade and get even better results?
Guest Vazel360 Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 when i install this package in reocvery with the miui the phone goes remain in splash screen (acer technolover) how to resolve?
Guest stoorzsto Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 This is not for CM7/MIUI. You can copy same file from MIUI flashable zip and replace it into new-driver zip. You should recover after flash replaced zip.
Guest Vazel360 Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 i have risolved i can updated the driver of gpu adreno 205?
