Re-Arrange Menu Options?

Hi Guys,

Ok, I seek your help, and knowledge please... Have rather a strange fault / bug here. At first I thought it was down to just one App. But now it even applies to the OS itself..... I am not sure what has caused it, or how to reproduce it, as others havnt experience it, but with different hardware. It use to work fine, and I have even re-flashed my ROM since then too... and still it apepars. The fault being, unable to drag'n'drop to re-arrange menu options, as can be seen in the two screenshots below....

Any idea's why I can simply select, drag and drop anymore??

OS: CM 7.2 RC1

Edit : Sorry, additional to say. By not working... I mean, that when you select and drop to the location... it doesnt stay there, it just pops back to where ya selected it from originally...

Have you installed any extras e.g. themes, mods, tweaks etc? Have you already asked in the CM7 forums? Presumably it worked on other roms?

What does logcat say when you release - any errors/warnings about being unable to save changes perhaps?

Thank you for replying to my question / problem, and for your suggesions.

Erm, no... not that I know of?? Just the CM7 rom, and the GApps files.... I have installed a CM7 Theme afterwards, but the menu re-order fault happened both before and after the Theme installation...

Havnt asked on CM7 forums yet, as I dont have an account there (yet), but think I shall create one now, jus for this query alone...

Erm, Ive only ever used it really with the CM7 rom, as its only the CM7 (at the time) rom that could support status bar widgets, and re-ordering of them. It use to work a while back just fine, as did the other App highlighted (ContApps). It maybe the way I am doing it, but I am doing it as natural as I see fit, and how it would work on iOS, jus drag and drop...??

Erm, not sure about LogCat as never really done it before? So wouldnt know how or what to capture...?

Just have no idea why such a simple feature can be so hard to achieve...?

What can I say mate, WOW.... you solved it!!! :)

Dont ask me how or why, but I swear I had it uninstalled last time and it still didnt work....

However I thought Id give it a try last night, and sure enough it worked.... I cant thank you enough!!! :)

Well ya kinda steared me in the right direction, as to themes... even though when I first tried, I didnt even have anything installed other than CM7 and Gapps... but oh well, it works now!!! :) So big thank you...

Sounds like a part of the theme was messing up the drag-drop functionality of the list items and broke the app :)
