Guest tmille777 Posted March 25, 2012 Report Posted March 25, 2012 (edited) I have been using the latest custom ROM for my Verizon Galaxy Nexus. My phone was recently stolen and I have had no success with Verizon's customer support to help locate it. I currently have "Where's My Droid" installed, but I have not yet authorized the GPS tracking on my cell phone. I was wondering is there was any other way I could perosnally track my phone without having already installed any other 3rd party apps that are used to track your phone. Also, is there any possible way to get an app remotely installed to my phone? That would simply fix my issue as well. Any help would be much appreciated because as many of you can probably relate, I use my phone nearly all day. Thanks, Terral Edited March 26, 2012 by tmille777

It's a long shot, but if you sign in to the Google Play Store (a.k.a Android Market) website from your browser, there is an app called Plan B by Lookout Mobile Security which you can remotely instal even AFTER you have lost your phone, provided your phone is on and signed in to your Google account. Basically, the Google Play website sends the app to your phone and, if your phone is switched on and still signed in to your Google account, installs it automatically. When installed, it immediately starts up, turns on GPS and sends your phone's location to your Gmail address. After 10 mins, you can send a text from another phone and it will reply to that phone with the location. Go to the website, search for Plan B, and follow the instructions in the app description. Best of luck. Like I said, it's a long shot, but worth a try. Please let me know how things turn out. C
