Hope so, unfortunately i'm truly not afraid about the engineers. But he's saying its now up to the beancounters, which is the only hurdle i'm afraid. Hope the beancounters have a good day and push away their fear to deliver a product that lasts a day too long and realize its easier to keep an end-user consumer than to lose one. Unfortunately you have to realize the customers of Qualcomm (ZTE, HTC, etc. ) Also rather sell a new phone.
