1. Have you enabled network data?

2. Have you set up the correct APNs?

When I still was at vodafone(prepaid, for what that matters) It pretty went all by itself... no changing APN etc.

Even if you say the APN's are good, the only thing I can think of is not enabled network data. Maybe airplane mode, but I doubt that. Did you try internet with that sim on a other phone ? If that doesn't work then you can atleast say it's the sim or the rom. Other rom could work also.

check your signal status, in about phone. there should be service state, mobile network type, mobile network state as well as signal strength.

Can you tell us what they are showing.

Also how are you switching on the data? Are you using the power control widget or going into settings and switching it on there? The reason I ask is that sometimes the power control widget data light can be lit up but data isn't switched on.

Well am using 3G [HSDPA to be precise] with my Blade on the same ROM and on Vodafone and it works perfecto . As from my experience I can say sometimes with frequent changes in between 2G/3G network the phone fails to recognize the type of network , I have faced it many times only fix for it just do a restart .

For some reason I think that your phone isn't unlocked... And even if it is, it might be incomplete or something. Sounds strange I know, but still. Could you call when you had the vodafone sim ?

Anyways, good for you that it is working :)

There's no need yo unlock blade, as the sim-check has a bug, so it accepts any sim inserted, stock roms have a workaround for that in Phone.apk though... If it runs a customs rom, then it functions as an unlocked phone. People should never NCK 'unlock' the blade, as it could cause problems, and actually does nothing useful in our case.

Does that apply to the crescent or blade 2. As I have just unlocked it and don't need the arguments with the Mrs if things go wrong.

I don't think it applies to crescent, as it's a different device. Crescents are really locked.
