[HELP] Speaker problem

Trying a new thread, the last one was ignored :P

The problem is that my speaker levels are too high, the sound peaks and distorts at the lowest volume setting and gets worse as the volume increases, its as if the 'base' volume control is set too high, i know its not the rom causing it, because ive tried several and the problem is always there, any ideas?

Maybe the reason nobody replied earlier is that this is not a common issue. That means it could be a specific problem of your hardware which would probably be solved by letting your phone going for service repair or replacement.

I dont think i can send it in for service, it was a monte carlo bought from orange and its now a zte skate, and im no longer using orange and ive scratched off the orange logo. I think its beyond orange now.

The problem arose after flashing atomic r13, i did a tpt via the tpthelper app to repartition the phone and after flashing, the sound was too high. I think an audio tweak has been applied twice or something. I think this because a lot of people say atomic is louder than the other roms, so that makes me think theres a tweak in the rom somewhere

It seems to affect the headset volume too, the first 'notch' seems loud enough for normal listening, and halfway is enough to overpower the sound of a bus.

I know there are apps out there that make your phone louder, is there anything which is the reverse of it?

If it helps im on the latest skatie rom and with dolby on or off, its still too high
