Guest kamango604 Posted April 4, 2012 Report Posted April 4, 2012 So i have a ZTE Skate bought from Telenor network in Serbia. When i first read about rooting this phone, it seemed very easy to do it with TPT. Later i have learnt that every stock rom has different TPT, so now i cant fully convert my phone to stock. Being from Telenor, phone probably has different tpt from OMCs. I am not in need for converting my phone to stock but what if i had to return it for repair. Can they see that i changed the partitions? Are there any traces of Orange network in its tpt, so i can use it? Would someone be willing to help and make(extract or whatever) a tpt that was on my phone in the first place?

The zte skate stock roms thread might help you to find your original rom. And then you can use wacky.ddw tutorial which shows you how to fast boot images.
Guest kamango604 Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 I dont think you got me. I have the stock rom from Telenor. But when i moved to costum rom partitions changed, every rom needs different partition. For example i am using now 200/35/205, But most likely system partition is smaller and data is bigger. This can be made, but i dont have the knowledge. So am iasking if someone can help me out with this?

If you don't want to worry about partition sizes and tpts when it needs repairing, keep the stock tpt, every rom fits on it, and to store apps use link2sd

Guest tillaz Posted April 5, 2012 Report Posted April 5, 2012 im sure all stock TPT have the same partition layout, so just flashing a stock Rom would be enough.. android is so customizable you can make your phone look totally different regardless of the stock TPT that it came with (without rooting or flashing stuff), so this should not be a big problem, sending the phone back for repair with the generic stock rom that includes the sock recovery partition would be ok
