I am in the same situation, I have sold my PS3 and my Blade and others to get a new phone... Might get the Nexus... I am definitely not getting the SIII as Rom choices are not great... Unlike HTC where you have Sense, AOSP, AOKP, and more... But I am waiting for the next Nexus phone...

I do know someone who is selling a HTC Sensation XE with 4gb card and rooted with HTC Sense 4 like the ONE X

i'm looking to upgrade asap as my lil blade has started to give up the ghost

thinking dual core as i have to keep the price down any suggestions would be great

was also wondering if it would be worth looking at a SF 2

or anything with a lil more oomph to it

The logical upgrade is to move up to the Huawei G300 like a lot of the Blade developers seem to have.

I'm sticking with my Skate at the moment as it is so very stylish but I keep getting tempted by the Huawei.

I don't know if that's the logical thing to do. it's like buying Samsung Galaxy S - a two years old phone. you should aim higher if you already have the Blade, because lags are out of the question!

It all comes down to personal budget really. Also cheaper phones will generally get a much bigger audience for rom developers as if they get good reviews like the blade did, then it will be popular especially at the price point its at.

I would love a top end phone but I can't justify paying that much for a phone.

Same here, I'd love a SGIII when it comes out but I just cant warrant paying £300-400 on a phone when I can get a Huawei G300 for £100 & get just as much enjoyment from it :)

I have to say this one is tempting me! But I don't especially need anything better than the Blade and my Blade is in great condition so I don't think I'm changing in the near future.

well my blade is doomed. only thing's wrong is the volume keys that don't work and I'm stuck on bad ROM flash so can't trigger recovery from ADB. unbelievably, I went to "cellphone "labs"" (that's right double quoted that one), and only by a glance at the phone they told me it's "fake" and they don't deal with it.

so I'm upgrading soon, but can't decide which to buy. can't afford the latest and greatest (budget is up to 550$) so was looking at variations of SGS 2 which seem to still offer the best specs out there, and it's almost positive to have huge price drop when SGS 3 comes out.

I mean, the current best is HTC One X. which is totally expensive. after that it's the HTC One S which offers almost the same specs as US T-Mobile's SGS2 (sgh-t989) - Dual Core 1.5GHZ, 16 GB ROM, 1 GB RAM, 8MP camera, and costs half as much.

decisions, decisions..

Returned my D300 today. It was freezing which a battery pull would not rectify, capacitive buttons stopped lighting up. Basically froze at lockscreen and was very hard to fix. Battery pulled and it would still be frozen at the lockscreen.Guy said quite a few were returned duw to bad sound from external speaker.

same here be nice to have a top end fone but what with bills to pay and a pc getting close to a hard drive upgrade gotta save the readies

i've for the time being ordered me a san fran 2 to keep me going as its the same price as my original san fran but i'm budgeting to the tune of about £150 - £200 for my next investment :)

Went into carphone warehouse today for a look. I was shocked to see the HTC evo 3d, the one with the 3d camera on sale priced at 500+ pounds still. I have seen it going for 250. Who do they think is going to buy from them seriously?

The HTC one X was cheaper lol at 479 or so.

Sounds like you had a dud phone. The external speaker has had a software fix released. I decided to stick with my skate and see what happens when ICS comes out for the Huawei D300.

I could afford it, but really if you spend £300+ every time something better comes out then think about how many thousands that can add up to in a few short years. Then think of the holidays you could be taking with the same money.

Is there a set release date in Germany for the D Quad Jeddy1? Huawei have stated that the P1 will be out first in Europe followed by the D Quad later in the year?

Huawei Device UK

Hi Daniel. Thanks for the enquiry. There are a

number of Huawei smartphones coming this

year. Of the flagship devices, we expect the P1

some time in the summer, which is super-slim,

dual-core; beauty and beast. There is no fixed

date yet on D series handsets. The D quad will

follow P1. UK schedule for XL is unclear at mo.

But all these, plus other Ascend family

smartphones in the range, have good batteries,

which have been optimised to last longer. Battery

life is an absolute focus, and will be a feature of

all the portolio; we're putting our best minds to

work on it! We know it's an issue for customers.

We'll keep you update here on XL and others.

Thanks again.
