Guest Karucifer Posted April 7, 2012 Report Posted April 7, 2012 Rockstar have announced that Max Payne will be leaping, dodging and diving his way on to Android on April 26th.

Like GTA 3, Max Payne Mobile is a complete port of the PC classic, with only a handful of tweaks made for touchscreen play. Rockstar claim the game now has full HD textures - which considering the age of the title suggests that a lot of the ingame art has had a resolution bump for the release.

Rockstar's social hub for DLC and multiplayer content, Social Club has also been implemented.

Device compatibility hasn't been announced as yet, but it's very likely to be a similar list to that of GTA III, although we'd hope for ICS support at launch this time.

Several screenshots below, although please note that these are of the iOS release, which comes two weeks earlier on April 12th.

[lightbox "]http://www.modaco.co...2_65_56230.jpg][/lightbox][lightbox "]http://www.modaco.co...2_65_30580.jpg][/lightbox][lightbox "]http://www.modaco.co...2_65_82008.jpg][/lightbox]

As someone who played the original PC version to death back in 2001, replaying every section to maximise ammo, I'm filled with a mixture of joy and dread at the possibility of being able to do it all over again <img src='http://android.modaco.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Source: Rockstar Games

This item was promoted to the News page - click here to view.
