Found a bug;

Every night whilst I'm texting about 4 of my contacts will be deleted from my contact list- I've noticed that they're the four most recently added contacts. It's just a simple case of adding them back to contacts but it's getting quite annoying. Any ideas?

Thanks

Just a random idea here, add 4 dummy contacts (fake contacts), and see if they dissapear instead of your real contacts!:)

Hey, I've just made a version of this and gapps which will fit on a 200MB system partition. Who would like to see it? :)

Does a2sd work on this rom?

I just partitioned my SD card to ext3 installed the script from the OP

I checked to see if a2sd is working by typing a2sd check in terminal and i get "ext partition found but not mounted"

Anyone now how to fix this?

EDIT: Never mind i formatted the SD card in clockwork and its working now

Just wanted to say "thank you" to everyone who contributed to making this work and available.

I am very pleased with this, does everything that I wanted without any issues and offers a better user experience than I realised was possible with the stock rom.

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Is there any chance of flash in camera?

No. If you search this thread you'll see this has repeatedly come up and there's nothing that the developer of this ROM can do to fix it.

Just installed CM9 on my Touch Plus without messing with TPT and with 85mb of free system space after install.

Unlike GB there is no task manager and file manager or something went wrong with my install?

Everything else works great and looks amazing.

I trimmed down kernel zip a little by removing some wallpapers and sounds, what else could be removed?

Is there a possibility of someone more skilled than me making Lite version of CM9 without all the useless stuff removed?

Around 160mb would be nice. Thanx.

Stuff like sound recorder, movie editor are really useless for me, could live without a few more ;)

YES!

also make a changelog of the things you removed :)

I'll upload it now. It fits on a 200mb partition, I'll put a file manager in there while I'm on it :)

Dunno if you want this in a separate post but... CM9 Mini for the ZTE Crescent. Removed: Wallpapers, calculator, calander, some other stuff I forgot. Added: ES File Manager

ROM: (SFII) http://db.tt/uAm8oeS8

GAPPS Without Face unlock: http://db.tt/kKXrhRzD

This (I think) fits on a 200MB System Partition. Mines still stock, so its untested.

Nice one AmbushReality.

OK,

Have done a bit of looking and calculating and this is what I've come up with, someone else may fair better than me....

If the following is removed:

from rom:

Apollo 379kb

CMWallpapers 7192kb

DSPManager 183kb

LiveWallpapers 1568kb

Liveallpaperspicker 116kb

Magicsmokewallpapers 209kb

Rommanager 2545kb

Videoeditor 4418kb

bootanimation.zip 4100kb

larger ringtones removed (bigger than 200kb) 5056kb

from gapps:

facelock (not installed away)

geniewidget 1109kb

tts files 3943kb

reduces the install by about 30mb from standard install.

If there is any interest I could create this. The rest of the stuff is either needed or insignificant in size.

So say if your interested.

Thats EXACTLY what I did for mine:)

Does anyone know how to integrate the gapps with the ROM ? I have created a zip_trimmer script to trim down the ROM before copying to phone and would like to integrate gapps and a2sd into it

Link :

https://www.dropbox.com/s/21pqvdemh7kuv2c/zip_trimmer.sh

I know the gapps integrated ROM cannot be distributed, but anyone with the script (and a linux box) can make their own and use it.

PS: This is tested for CM10, but should work with any ROM

@Dovah

Nice list. I'll add those to my script. I'm thinking of a way that I can make it interactive.

PS : you are saying 'kernel' instead of 'ROM'. Kernel is what is inside the boot.img

Thanx for correcting me.

Just one note, By removing tts you will not be able to use google maps, its not important to me cause i use Igo navigation

and if anyone wants to try it here's the link

rom

http://www.mediafire...uzhfh3bbzni03pu

gapps

http://www.mediafire...vti8xb50wb2awh5

Great work dude..

to be fair, i would have kept tts and other small items (in ROM) in. If you see the most of the chunk is facetime, bootanimation and ringtones.. (almost 80%). Can you help me in customizing the ROM myself?
